Perry Local Schools Achieves 4.5-Star Rating on Ohio School Report Card

Perry Local School District is celebrating continued progress on the Ohio School Report Card, improving its overall rating from 4 stars last year to 4.5 stars this year, which exceeds state standards. The district saw improvement in four of the Ohio School Report Card’s six rated components. Perry made significant gains in Gap Closing, jumping from 3 to 5 stars, and in Graduation, increasing from 4 to 5 stars. The district’s Early Literacy rating and Progress rating also improved, both rising from 3 stars to 4 stars.

“We are proud of the progress reflected in this year’s report card and, more importantly, of the work happening every day throughout Perry Local Schools,” said Superintendent Nate Stutz. “These results represent the collective efforts of our students, families, teachers, staff and community. Seeing growth in areas such as student progress, gap closing, graduation and early literacy is encouraging, and we are grateful to everyone who continues to support our students and their success.”

Perry’s Achievement rating remained strong at 4 stars, indicating that students continue to exceed state standards in academic achievement, while its College, Career, Workforce, and Military Readiness rating held at 3 stars, meeting state standards in preparing students for life beyond the classroom.

“We will continue building on this progress and looking for ways to provide every Perry student with the opportunities, support and instruction they need to succeed,” Stutz said.
